Over £40,000 raised so far – brilliant of course, but more to get!

MudRunning Mayhem

We had a really good day on Sunday at Eastnor Castle and the Oblivion MudRunners.  It was a really well run day, no pun intended! And it was great seeing so many parents encouraging children along the way – even if that meant being over taken by a 10 yr old! There was certainly enough mud, and atlhough the course …

The brave and brilliant bikers – 140 miles.

They did it – 16 or so Abberley children bicycled over 130 miles yesterday. From Worcestershire, via Leominster and Brecon all the way to Manobier, near Tenby. There was a great team involved, the children and the staff who supported them, they slept on the beach – under the stars, and swam in the sea this morning, before a much …

Challenges Completed So Far

Mia did it – one brave girl!

And in her words, this is how her challenge went:

If I had known this challenge was going to be so painful I might not have done it! I was completely unprepared to spend the whole day in the saddle, and once you’re on you can.t move. Trotting side saddle is incredibly uncomfortable and utterly exhausting and we seemed to …

Barrow 1618 School’s walk to success

Barrow 1618 school organised a sponsored walk near school, for some of the children.. This was a 10 km walk, and for some of the children aged just six, this was certainly a challenge.  They all got pretty muddy, but were happy by the end of the day, and overjoyed when they heard that they had achieved their goal …

Amy did it – and here are her words telling us about her massive swimming challenge….1360 lengths (34km) – just under 14 hours total swimming time.

Thank you so much for your incredibly generous sponsorship.  I thought you might like to know how I got on.  It was quite a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be but Mummy was relieved that I didn’t find it as tough as she thought it might be.  These were my days:  SATURDAY 7.00 – 9.00 …

The following was posted on their website and they gave similar support on their twitter account: @K12Challenge is a group of children in the West Midlands, who are raising money for a local Riding for the Disabled group – @Perry Riding, Driving and Vaulting.. Some of the children came with us to meet the GB Vaulting coach, and got to have a go themselves.

Groups like the UK Team, practising for events such as the Olympics, would be able to use The Cavalier Centre when it is up and running.  This will be a good way for the centre to stay in business.  The children enjoyed the day out and realised what can be done on a horse with some concentration.

Check out www.cavaliercentre.org to find out the latest about the planned indoor centre – you are all so brilliantly raising money for.
